William Brent Oaks

June 30, 1967 – August 31, 2016

William Brent Oaks, age 49, died Wednesday August 31, 2016 at the Hospice House of Southern Kentucky.

The Louisville, Ky. native is preceded in death by his mother Jackie Barger Oaks, paternal grandparents, Azzie and Mable Oaks, and maternal grandparents, Earl and Ruby Barger and L Carl and Louise Rasdall. He was an avid sports fan of all sport especially UK football and basketball.

He is survived by his parents Bill and Martha Oaks of Smiths Grove, Ky., aunt and uncle, Margaret and Gene Oaks, Aunt Jessi Mae Oaks, Aunt Joetta Distler, cousins, Billy Distler, Scott Distler, Jill Collins, Arlinda Bowman, and David Oaks, and special friends, Steve Garner, Brian Perkins, Keith Embree, Dog Sitting Pals, Lita, Vega, and Otis.

Visitation will be 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday September 2, 2016 at the T. W. Crow & Son Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Saturday at the T. W. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Mount Union UMC Cemetery.
