Ruby Wimpee

Ruby Iola York Wimpee, age 78, died Wednesday January 1, 2014 at the Medical Center at Bowling Green.

The Allen County native was the daughter of the late Joseph Winkfield York Sr. and Emily Iola Jones York.  She was preceded in death by her granddaughter Brooke Wimpee, her great granddaughter Zoe Brown and six siblings, Irene Hammock, Audrey Douglas, Dolly Taylor, Bob, Eldon and Joe York.  She was a member of the Scottsville Chapter 60 Order of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by her daughter Cheryl Ann Wimpee, two sons Mike Wimpee and wife Susan and Phil Wimpee all of Scottsville, two sisters, Thelma Conkrite of Paducah, Newman Hogue of Scottsville, six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Visitation will begin at 3:00 PM Friday January 3, 2014 at the T. W. Crow & Son Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be at 1:00 PM Saturday January 4, 2014 at the T. W. Crow & Son with burial in the Durham Springs Church Cemetery.
