Rosalie “Doll” Pitchford
August 5, 1926 – January 22, 2018
Rosalie “Doll” Pitchford, age 91, passed away Monday January 22, 2018 at the Medical Center at Scottsville.
Doll was born in Allen County KY August 5, 1926. She was a graduate of Scottsville High School and a member of the Scottsville First United Methodist Church.
Preceding her in death were her mother Annis Brown Poynter and sister Joan Poynter Porter.
She is survived by her husband of 72 years Harold “Wop” Pitchford, son, Mark Pitchford (Frieda) of Bowling Green, daughter, Janet Clark (Terry) of Lexington, grandchildren Chris Clark (Michele), Andy Pitchford (Keitha), Kendall Duane (Kevin), Brett Pitchford (Olivia) and nine great grandchildren, Madison and Cameron Clark, Aaron, Adam and Ace Pitchford, Callie and Caroline Duane, Brynn and Bryce Pitchford.
Doll contributed to many work places throughout her life: The Horseshoe Café, Houchins Market, ASCS Office, owner of Doyle Florist for 15 years and was the Public Relations Director for the Farmers National Bank.
She has always been an example of how one should lead their life. Her warm smile and wonderful laugh will be dearly missed.
Pallbearers Chris Clark, Andy Pitchford, Brett Pitchford, Kevin Duane, Johnny Pitchford, Ted Pitchford and honorary pallbearer Windol Fisher.
Visitation will be 9:00 – 11:00 AM Wednesday January 24, 2018 at the T.W. Crow and Son Funeral Home until time of funeral service.
Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Wednesday January 24, 2018 at the T.W. Crow and Son Funeral Home in Scottsville. Burial will follow in the Crescent Hill Cemetery.
Memorial Donations may be made to the Scottsville First United Methodist Church or The Laura Turner Dugas Foundation.
