Phila Mae Mitchell Hinton

May 29, 1953 – July 10, 2022

Phila Mae Mitchell Hinton, age 69, died Sunday July 10, 2022 at the Medical Center at Scottsville.

The Scottsville, Ky. native was the daughter of the late Harry Neal Mitchell and Willa Mae Claypool Mitchell and was preceded in death by her son-in-law Ricky Jones.  She worked several jobs including GE and AO Smith and retired from Houchens Industry.  She attended Clifton General Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, William A. Hinton, of Scottsville, two daughters; Shannon Jones and Tracie Hall (Scottie) both of Scottsville, her son William “Billy” Hinton of Glasgow, KY, five grandchildren; Allison Copas (Brian), Hillary Jones (Daniel Newman), Emily Jones (Cy Spencer), Dylan Hinton (Harlie) and Cynthia Minor (Michael), five great grandchildren; Bryson Copas, Abbie Hinton, Ida Hinton, John Newman, and Cayle Minor, two brothers; Mike Mitchell (Blanca) and John Mitchell (Denise) and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Monday July 11, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the T. W. Crow & Son funeral home and continuing Tuesday at 7:00 AM until funeral time.

Funeral Services will be Tuesday July 12, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the T. W. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Clifton Church Cemetery.

Memorial donation may be made to the Clifton General Baptist Church.
