Peggy Huntsman Tinsley,
93, of Indianapolis, passed away October 27, 2019. She was born October 9, 1926 in Scottsville, Kentucky to the late Harry and Frances Huntsman. Peggy was a graduate of Scottsville High School. She attended Ward Belmont and received her Bachelor’s Degree from Sullins College. Peggy married Wayne Tinsley, and was a dance instructor for many years. She was a member of Old Bethel United Methodist Church, Irvington O.E.S. Chapter #364 (now Englewood #483) and Women of the Moose Lodge.
Visitation will be Wednesday, October 30, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Shirley Brothers Washington Memorial Chapel, 9606 East Washington Street. Indianapolis IN. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday at Crescent Hill Cemetery in Scottsville, Kentucky.
Peggy is survived by her children, Bruce R. Wishart (Lou) and Jill F. Tudor (Tom); grandchildren, Christopher Wishart, Adam Tudor, Chad Tudor, Luke Tudor; step-grandchildren, Gerry Routh (Debbie) and Darryl Routh (Christina); great-grandchildren, Alexis Wishart, Ashtyn Wishart, Aslan Tudor, Ohanna Tudor, Henry Tudor and Vivian Tinsley Tudor; three step-great-grandchildren; five step-great-great grandchildren; sister, Deanna Huntsman-Lane; and brothers, Dr. Harry Huntsman and Eric Huntsman. Peggy’s husband of 52 years, Wayne Tinsley; and her daughter, Christy Basham, preceded her in death. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association, 50 East 91st Street, Suite 100, Indianapolis, IN 46240.
