Paul Edward Knight, age 62, of Scottsville died at his home on March 1, 2014. Paul was born in Macon, GA, to the late Prentice L. and Agnes Gay Knight.
Paul worked as a steamfitter throughout his life. God blessed Paul with many talents; he could make, repair and do almost anything he wanted. He loved nature and the outdoors and was an outstanding hunter and fisherman. He loved to tell stories and had a great sense of humor and wonderful wit. Paul lived a full life and “did it his way” with no pretense. He was a staunch advocate for the abilities and rights of ordinary Americans.
He is survived by his wife Gail Doolittle Knight and his son Sean Paul Knight, both of Scottsville; his honorary granddaughter, Lydia Lea Knight of Bowling Green; two brothers, Prentice Knight III and John Christopher (Chris) Knight, both of Scottsville; two sisters, Susan Knight Edwards of Centerville, GA and Cynthia Knight of Cumming, GA; and sixteen nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on March 4, 2014, at the Knight Family Cemetery on Jack Towe Road in Allen County. People attending the service are asked to meet at Shiloh Methodist Church on Highway 585 at 2:00 PM to form a funeral procession to the cemetery. T.W. Crow & Son Funeral Home of Scottsville has charge of burial arrangements.
