Mildred Bradley Brown
February 2, 1926 – May 12, 2017
Mildred Bradley Brown, 91, entered into eternal rest on Friday, May 12, 2017, at home.
She was born in Allen County on February 2, 1926 to the late Martha Tracy and George Taylor Bradley. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Will Herman Brown; her son, Phillip H. Brown; three sisters, Zona Brown, Beatrice Cox, and Olean More; and three brothers, Mervin Bradley, Roy Bradley, and Jack Bradley.
She retired from Farmers National Bank in Scottsville. She enjoyed reading and playing cards with friends. But most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and bragging about her grandchildren and great-grandchildren to anyone who would listen. She was a Missionary Baptist.
Survivors include a daughter, Phyllis McGuirk (Mike) of Smiths Grove; two grandsons, Adam Brown (Ashley) of Lexington and Brad McGuirk (Lauren) of Bowling Green; a granddaughter, Meghan McGuirk of Washington, D.C.; two great-grandchildren, Charlotte Brown and Greyson Brown; a step granddaughter, Shellie Jones (Chuck) of Independence; a step grandson, Wayne McGuirk of Bowling Green; and four step great-grandchildren, Brittany Botkin (Joseph), Justin Parker, Jonathan Parker, and Austin Parker; one brother-in-law, Sam Brown (Libby) of Birmingham, AL; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 2:00 PM until 7:00 PM Sunday May 14, 2017 at the T.W. Crow and Son Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday May 15, 2017 at the T.W. Crow and Son Funeral Home with burial in the New Salem Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Southern Kentucky.
