Mary L. Wallace

October 13, 1937 – June 7, 2019

Mary L. Wallace, age 81, of Madison, Indiana, passed away on Friday, June 7, 2019 at Hanover Health and Rehab in Hanover, Indiana. Born October 13, 1937 in Franklin, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Ernest King and Mary (McGee) Starks.

In 1952, she was united in marriage to Joe B. Wallace in Kentucky. Mary had previously worked at the Madison Courier for many years and was a member of North Madison Christian Church. She loved spending time with her dog, Mia and was an avid University of Kentucky Basketball fan.

She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren: Robert R. Walters, her caregiver, of Madison, Joseph Walters, Erin S. Crawford of Fort Collins, Colorado, Andrew Crawford of Missouri, and Angela Crawford of West Jordan, Utah; 13 great grandchildren: Katie, Tyler, Nicole, Andrea, Kayla, Jessie, Samuel, Bella, John, Hazel, Patrick, Alex, and Kenna; Four great great grandchildren: Johnny, Zoey, Amelia, and Chandler Joe; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Mary Starks; her husband, Joe Wallace who passed away on September 3, 1999; and her daughter, Connie Crawford.

Friends and family may call at the Lytle Welty Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Vail Chapel, 117 Holt Drive, Madison's Hilltop from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, June 11, 2019.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Friday, June 14, 2019 at the T.W. Crow & Son Funeral Home, 201 N. Court Street, Scottsville, Kentucky with interment to follow in Union Chapel UMC Cemetery in Scottsville.
