Lentis Ferrel Lee, age 81, died Friday, January 17, 2025 at Christian Health Care in Bowling Green, KY.
Lentis was born in 1943 in Bowling Green, KY and raised in Allen County, KY. He graduated from Allen County High School in 1961 in Scottsville, KY and as soon as he turned 18, he immediately went into the US Army, serving in Korea in the 1st Cavalry Unit as a tank operator. After being honorably discharged, he graduated from Western Kentucky University and later earned his MBA from Middle Tennessee State University. He met his wife, Patricia Louise Bow when he was stationed at Fort Benning, Georgia. They were happily married for over 50 years until she passed away in July of 2020. They had 2 sons, Byron and Adrian.
Lentis worked at Jostens, where he was a plant manager and worked his way up to senior management in the global purchasing department. Lentis and his family moved to several different states as he advanced in his career. He eventually retired at 55 years old and moved back to his roots in his beloved Allen County, where he built his retirement home and enjoyed the peace and tranquility of Bays Fork Creek. During this phase, he also started a global sourcing company called GPS in his spare time. This job took him to many parts of the world. He loved his family and dear friends of Eastwood Baptist Church in Bowling Green. He also enjoyed the challenging missionary trip that took him to remote parts of China. He cherished his time with his children, grandchildren, and dogs!
Lentis led a full life with his loving wife, Pat and had a wide range of experiences from dog mushing in Alaska to swimming in the Amazon River. His hobbies included gardening, being a pilot, and part time bison rancher.
He is survived by his sons, Byron Lee and wife Michele of Bowling Green and Adrian Lee and wife Ingrid of Denver, CO, 4 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. His grandchildren are Joshua Byron Lee of Venice, CA, Cassandra Ann Lee of Clifton, NJ, Jasmine and Iris Lee of Denver, CO. His great granddaughter is Clementine Lee of Venice, CA.He is also survived by 2 sisters, Sue Ann DePalma of Atlanta, Pam Payne of Scottsville, KY, and Joe Lee of Corsicana, TX.

Visitation will be Thursday, January 23, 2025 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the T. W. Crow & Son Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held Friday at 9:00 a.m. at the funeral home with burial in the Fairview Cemetery at 11:00 a.m.
Memorial Donations may be made to the Eastwood Baptist Church in Bowling Green, KY.
