Jessie Lorene Stone Steenbergen

June 23, 1929 – May 24, 2021

Jessie Lorene Stone Steenbergen, age 91, died Monday May 24, 2021 at the Oktibbeha County Hospital in Mississippi.

The Allen County native was the wife of the late James Robert Steenbergen.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Letcher Murl Stone and Sally Ann Hurt Stone, and sisters Wilma Willoughby, Toncie Towe, and Eula Becker.

Survivors include her son Bobby Ray Steenbergen of Starkville, MS, grandson Jason Scott Steenbergen and his mother Debbie, and step granddaughter Taylor Renea Warren and her husband Hunter both of Columbus, MS.

Visitation in Mississippi at the Lowndes Funeral Home in Columbus will be 6 to 8 PM Thursday May 27, 2021.

Visitation in Scottsville will be 5 to 8 PM Sunday May 30, 2021 and 8 to 11 AM Monday at the T. W. Crow & Son Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be 11 AM Monday May 31, 2021 at the T. W. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Crescent Hill Cemetery.

A longtime member of Scottsville Baptist Church memorial donations are requested to be sent to the church.
