Jessie Mai Keen Oaks

September 28, 1929 – May 14, 2020

Jessie Mai Keen Oaks, age 90, died Thursday May 14, 2020 at the NHC Healthcare in Glasgow, KY.

Born in Macon County, TN the Allen County native was the wife of the late James David “J.D.” Oaks and the daughter of the late Jessie Keen and Cora Johnson Keen.  Preceding her in death are three brothers, Carlene, J. C. and Delton Keen and two sisters, Alene Hanes and Avie Duncan.

She is survived by her daughter Arlinda Bowman (Les) of Glasgow, KY, son James David Oaks Jr. (Doris McAfee) of Bowling Green, KY, four grandchildren, Jennifer Woodward, Stephany Oaks, Jamie Guy and Eric Bowman, four great grand children, James Woodward, Anniston Guy, Asher Guy and Kalen Bowman, and several great-great grand children, nieces and nephews.

A private burial will be at Mt. Union UMC cemetery with a public memorial service at a later date.

Memorial donation may be made to the Kentucky United Methodist Children’s Home.
