Effie Marie Hobdy Buchanon, 98, died peacefully with her family present on Friday, August 23, 2024 at Scottsville Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late Arthur Rivers Hobdy and Era Leta Thompson Hobdy. She is the 12th child of the Hobdy family. Preceding her in death were 11 siblings including: Evelyn Perkins, Bill Hobdy, Emma Taggart, Arthur Hobdy, Elsie Bell, Earline Russell, Eleanor Dotson, Dick Hobdy, Era Leta Orrison, John Hobdy, and Estellle Hobdy. Effie loved the fact that she was part of a large, close-knit family with lots of nieces and nephews, the Hobdys were a close-knit group
