Diana Kay Sealey Was Born July 24, 1952 in Murphysboro, IL at Saint Joseph’s Hospital to Viola Mae Goodknight and Earl Richard Goodknight Sr. She passed away August 1, 2017 at 3:10 AM in her home in Scottsville, KY surrounded by family. She was married to David Carol Sealey on December 28, 1969 in Murphysboro. IL. They raised two children Jennifer Lynn Sealey of Scottsville, KY and Jason Matthew Sealey married to Stephanie Sealey of Louisville, KY. Thay have one grand daughter Emily Paige Capes married to Jimmy Capes of Norfolk, VA. As well as, two great grand children Lyla and Oliver Capes of Norfolk, VA. Living are several nieces, nephews, cousins and two aunts Mildred Reiman of Florida and Lois Goodknight of Illinois. She was preceded in death by her parents. Two brothers Delmar Louis and Earl Richard Jr. Goodknight both of Murphysboro, IL as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins. Among the places she was employed were Hoe Supply Company, Benton Public Library in Illinois. Benton Community School District and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois. Her Interest included reading (enjoyed the Harry Potter series), cooking (specialty was Chicken and Dumplings), genealogy, astronomy and watching television shows such as NCIS and Bones. The family would like to express a special thank you to the LVAD team and doctors of The University of Kentucky and the Hosparus care team. Mrs. Sealey was cremated August 2 2017. Memorial Service will be held Friday August 4, 2017 at First Church of God in Glasgow (1517 Glenview Ave.) at 6:00PM.
