Danny Carline Roark

Danny Carline Roark was born on April 8th, 1938 to Cordell and Bessie Roark in Macon County, TN and passed from this life on August 30th, 2024 at the Cal Turner Specialty and Rehab in Scottsville, KY. He was the husband of Phyllis Wyatt Roark of Scottsville and the father of Kent (Lynn) Roark of Glasgow, KY and Kristi (Doug) Sullivan of Oak Ridge, NC. He was the proud grandfather of Taylor (Brilee) Roark of Scottsville, Christina (Eric) Gentry of Munfordville, KY, Kyle (Avery) Sullivan of Charlotte, NC and Blake Sullivan of Raleigh, NC and the great-grandfather of Cadence, Alyssa and Skyler Gentry.

Danny graduated from Scottsville High School and received his teaching certification from Western Kentucky University. He worked with his father at Roark Electric and as a state inspector for Tri-County Electric before teaching electricity for over 27 years at the Allen County-Scottsville Vocational School. After retiring from teaching, he worked for the traffic signal division for over 17 years with the KY State Transportation Department. He attended Hillvue Heights Church in Bowling Green, was a member of Gideons International and served in the Army National Guard.

Danny was a quiet man that loved helping others learn about electricity, building things, working on the farm but mostly loved his kids and grandkids and what they were doing in life. He loved telling big tales, eating ice cream and seeing others laugh and enjoy life. Carline, Mr Roark, Pa, Pa Dan, Daddy and Danny was a great man in our lives and we look forward to seeing him again! 

Visitation will be Saturday August 31, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the T. W. Crow & Son Funeral Home and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday September 1, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at the T. W. Crow & Son Funeral Home.
