Evelyn Celestine Willoughby Gibbs

August 13, 1931 – October 22, 2018

Evelyn Celestine Willoughby Gibbs, age 87, died Monday October 22, 2018 at the Medical Center at Bowling Green.

The Allen County native was the wife of the late Charles Edward Gibbs, the daughter of the late Ernest Clayborne Willoughby Sr. and Nannie Sue Towe Willoughby and was preceded in death by one brother E C Willoughby Jr. and one stepson Michael Gibbs. A member of Harmony Missionary Baptist Church and Order of Eastern Star, she taught in the state of Kentucky for nearly nineteen years, known as Mrs. House to her students in Petroleum.

She is survived by her son Paul Gibbs and wife Kristi of Scottsville, a stepdaughter Susan Kaster of Scottsville, five nieces and one nephew.

Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until 8:00 PM Wednesday October 24 at T. W. Crow & Son Funeral Home and 9:00 AM until 2:00 PM Thursday October 25 at Harmony Missionary Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday October 25, 2018 at Harmony Missionary Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery.
