Arthur D. Guy age 83, Indianapolis, passed away August 14, 2014. He was born October 10, 1930 in Harlan Co., KY, to the late Samuel and Valeria McCabe Guy. Arthur graduated from Hall High School, Tennessee Military Academy, and Western Kentucky University where he received his B.S. Degree in Accounting and Business Administration. After being honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy, he worked for a local CPA firm for 8 years, and in 1965 he started the Arthur D. Guy, Public Accounting Firms, retiring in 1997. Arthur was active in many organizations including Disciples of Christ where he served as Elder, Deacon and Treasurer at various times. In addition he was a 50 plus year member of the Gyro Club, the Masonic Lodge, Broad Ripple Sertoma Club, and the Columbia Club of Indianapolis. Other memberships included Indianapolis Junior Chamber, local and state National Society of Public Accountants, National Society of Enrolled Agents, the Indianapolis Shrine Club, the Quality for Indiana Taxpayer, and the Accreditation Council for Accounting and Taxation.

Arthur coached over 20 years of YMCA and neighborhood little league baseball and basketball, was one of the first scorekeepers for the Indiana Pacers (ABA), was an avid fan of the Indiana Pacers, Indianapolis Colts and University of Kentucky Basketball. He was a world traveler, visiting five continents and over 50 countries. In addition, he loved boating and fishing and had a houseboat at Lake Monroe for 27 years. For the past 17 years he spent his winters in Cocoa Beach, FL, and summers in Indiana.

Arthur is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Joann Milliken Guy; sons, Samuel R. and Dean (Merritt) Guy; daughter, Rebecca Lively (Jim); and grandchildren, James and David Lively, and Milliken and Patric Guy.

Visitation will be Saturday, August 16, 2014 from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service at 6:00 p.m. at Shirley Brothers Fishers-Castleton Chapel, 9900 Allisonville Rd.

Graveside Service will be 11:00 AM Sunday August 17, 2014 at the Crescent Hill Cemetery Scottsville, Ky.
