Jimmie Harston Jones
February 14, 1932 - May 29, 2022
Beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Jimmie H. Jones, passed away with family by her side on Sunday, May 29, 2022 at the age of 90 years.
The Scottsville native was a retired employee of Doyle Florist, former employee of Washington Overall, and member of the Scottsville First United Methodist Church. Her hobbies and interest included cooking, floral design, genealogy, and reading. She and friend, Martha Jackson, devoted much time to a book they wrote, Allen County Graveyards and Cemeteries Revisited (with genealogical notes).
Mrs. Jones is survived by three children, Malinda Jones, Martha Williams (Edward), and John Jones (Debbie); four grandchildren, Elizabeth Woosley (Aaron), Wes Williams (Emily), Zach Jones (Natasha), and Chris Jones; and eight great grandchildren, Lyndon Jones, Kaylea Jones, Caroline Woosley, Ward Woosley, Sarah Woosley, Parker Williams, Henry Williams, and John Preston Jones.
She was preceded in death by her spouse, Charles Whitney (Tom) Jones; siblings, Ruby Foster, Mae Hurt, Beedie Lambert, and Frank Harston; grandchildren, Jessica and Jamie Jones, and parents, James Robert (Jim) and Hattie Harston.
Visitation will be Saturday, June 4, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the T. W. Crow & Son Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be Saturday, June 4, 2022 at 2:00 PM at the T. W. Crow & Son funeral home with Rev. Craig Taylor officiating.
Memorial Donation made be made to the Scottsville First United Methodist Church or The Alzheimer’s Association.
